It was especially quiet in the grasslands today. I hardly saw anyone. But that was as expected, or at least, as I hoped.
After all, it was Sunday afternoon after Thanksgiving, and I was guessing most would be transitioning back to a more routine life.
Even if one wanted to grasp the last moments of the holiday weekend outdoors, the afternoon was cold (for us)... a windy, cloudy 38F.
So, as expected, I found peace in the grasslands, and quietness like a hug.

Boy, those trees are hollering for a hammock friend!
It might not be this exact spot, but I definitely have a plan to camp in a pine grove soon.
